Deciphering Dysgraphia: Practical Strategies for Support 3-Hour VIRTUAL Workshop Facilitated by Consulting that Makes a Difference – 8:30-11:30am

This strategy-filled workshop is designed to help educators understand and effectively support students with dysgraphia, a learning disability that affects writing skills. Attendees will gain insight into the neurological and cognitive factors that contribute to dysgraphia and explore common signs and symptoms. The workshop will provide practical, research-based strategies to support students in overcoming writing challenges, including alternative ways to express ideas, assistive technology tools, and differentiated instruction techniques. Educators will learn how to adapt their teaching methods to meet the needs of students with dysgraphia, from creating a supportive classroom environment to offering personalized accommodations. By the end of the workshop, teachers will have a toolkit of resources and strategies to help students with dysgraphia succeed academically and feel more confident in their writing abilities. This workshop is essential for any educator looking to foster inclusivity and support diverse learners in the classroom. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
