In today’s evolving educational landscape, the role of the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) Chairperson is more vital-and more complex-than ever before. Chairpersons are responsible for ensuring that students with disabilities receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE), while also maintaining compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and other applicable federal and state guidelines. This workshop is a comprehensive, in-depth workshop designed to equip current and aspiring chairpersons with the tools, strategies, and legal knowledge necessary to lead effectively. Through interactive discussions, practical case studies, and collaborative learning, participants will gain the confidence and expertise to make informed, student-centered decisions while upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
